Increasing amounts of health conscious individuals are seeking alternatives to current personal hygiene products, and are moving away from products offered on the commercial market.

Science has linked aluminium to breast cancer and Alzheimer's disease. Yet most commercial antiperspirants all contain aluminium chlorohydrate or aluminium zirconium which is ultimately absorbed by the major organs: the liver and kidneys, as well as the brain and bone marrow.

Botanicals crystal deodorant is 100% mineral salt: ammon alum, which by its large molecular structure is unable to penetrate the cell wall and therefore is not absorbed by the body.

The alum (mineral salt) crystal actually neutralises the bacteria which causes body odour when sweat comes into contact with the skin.

When applied to wet skin, a thin layer of the crystal is left behind, invisible and perfume free it will continue to work all day or until it is washed away.

Does it really work?

Applied in the morning the crystal will give you 24 hour deodorant protection, even in the summer.

How does it work?

Botanicals crystal has a natural antibacterial action. Body odour is caused by bacteria. By applying the crystal deodorant a thin unnoticeable layer is left on the skin. Odour causing bacteria are not able to thrive on those areas.

How long do they last?

Depending on size / quantity of deodorant you have, and your personal use of the crystals, it can vary. However from feedback and our own use, we have found that on average the 120g crystal deodorants can last for approximately 1 year before they become too small for easy use.

Tip: Putting the remaining deodorant crystal in the fridge will prevent any strong smells.

Is it an Antiperspirant?

No. An antiperspirant prevents the natural sweating process of your body, by blocking the sweat glands. Antiperspirants most often contain Aluminium which may be potentially damaging to the human body (recent links with breast cancer - unverified).

Will I still sweat?

Your body's natural sweating action will continue, but crystal deodorant has a slight astringent (drying) effect.

Does the crystal stain my clothes?

No. The crystal deodorant does not leave any stains on your clothes.
