botanicals report: natural v. chemical headlice treatments

Most children will catch head lice at some time during their school days. The majority will be treated with an insecticidal lotion. Either prescribed by a local surgery, or purchased from a high street chemist.

headlice report

But a recent report from France's prestigious National Institute for Medical Research found that pesticides in head lice treatments may double the risk of a child developing leukaemia.

We commissioned our own report (left) to examine the facts. It shows that as well as being completely safe, natural treatments can be more effective than insecticidal lotions.

The report can be read on-line at www.headlice.org.uk.

Botanicals has sponsored a website to help promote the campaign for a non-chemical approach to treating head lice.

The site is still being developed. But you can read the report online.

We've also included an online forum. Plus links to a wide range of information on head lice and advice on how to get rid of them – naturally.
